For my second trip to Graves Elementary, I was asked to workshop with their Young Entrepreneurs Club - a group of about nine 4th and 5th graders who have expressed interest (already) in owning their own business one day.
They assigned me "Startup Costs and Capital," as a discussion topic and I was hesitant at first, but these students were soooooo smart!!! I had a great time bouncing ideas off of them and hearing their plans to start businesses as well as to invest in the businesses of their friends. I really learned today the impact that a solid financial education can have on youngins. It's imperative that we reach them early!
